    Master Gardeners of Bergen County

    We are dedicated volunteers who have completed the Rutgers Master Gardeners Program and volunteer our expertise throughout the County. We also provide Horticultural Therapy programs in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health facilities and schools.

                 

    Regular volunteer sites include: Bergen County Health Center, Rock Leigh; Flat Rock Brook Environmental Center; Garretson Forge & Farm, Hackensack River Greenway; The Hermitage; McFaul Environmental Center; New Bridge Landing; Skylands New Jersey Botanical Garden; Teaneck Creek Conservancy; Van Dyke Manor; Wortendyke Barn and more.     Master Gardeners of Bergen County also hold monthly meeting with guest lecturers that are free to the public. A vast array of topics include: Integrated Pest Management, Preparing Your Garden For The Spring, Gardening In The Shade, Caring For Trees, Turf And Grass Management, and so on.
